Meet the two people at the heart of the Corson vs. Beck lawsuit, and how their involvement and influence over Leol Corson led to their own departure from his home twice. According to the Court's verdict, Jayson and Kerstin Corson were:
"Central figures in the family events precipitating his departure from his house".
Jayson and Kerstin couldn't even agree on their story
Jayson Corson stated on multiple occasions that he was completely unaware that they would need to move out in the fall of 2017. In fact, the longer that Jayson and Kerstin stayed in the home it became increasingly clear that they had no intention of leaving.
Under oath and under pressure, Kerstin and Leol Corson contradict these very statements saying they knew the plan was to stay only until November of 2017. Leol acknowledged that the "plan" from the beginning was to have Jayson and Kerstin live in the home temporarily until the fall of 2017.
The Court accurately noted Kerstin's participation in the Corson vs. Beck verdict:
"They presented this idea at another family meeting tha was attended by Jason and Kerstin; further, they consulted with Matthew and with Jill's father Leonard. No one had a better idea for leveraging [Leol's] assets to care for him." Page 5 Paragraph 3 of Court's Decision.
Jayson and Kerstin lie about their involvement
Kerstin Corson stated on the witness stand (under oath) that she was not aware of our plans to help Leol Corson. And yet her own daughter, Katie Corson, and other family members exposed the truth in the courtroom.
Jayson and Kerstin state moving out would be "No Big Deal"
Leol Corson claimed many many times that he was forced to leave his home after Jayson Corson and Kerstin Corson were given eviction papers. See more on Leol's page. The truth is the Becks had been working with Jayson and Kerstin for over three months in order to transition them away from Leol, so the Becks could move in. This was noted in the court filing Opposition to Summary Judgement, which states:
"All went according to plan until the summer of 2017, when it became apparent to Jacob and Jill that Jayson and Kerstin were not likely going to be vacating the Bristol property in the fall. Jacob and Jill commenced action to evict Jayson and Kerstin (but not Leol) from the property, with Jacob and Jill planning to move in with Leol. Leol, however, elected to move out of the Bristol home with Jayson and Kerstin.
Thereafter, Leol commenced the instant action against Jacob and Jill. Page 2 of Opposition to SJ.
Why was it necessary to remove Jayson and Kerstin from the home?
A) This had been the original plan all along.
B) They were showing no signs of actually leaving the residence.
C) They began to influence Leol Corson's independence, getting him to do and say things that they wanted.
D) They became increasingly hostile toward the Becks, despite being given a free place to live.
E) Both of them would comment on personal property at Leol's home, that they wanted to keep or sell any items of value..
F) Jayson Corson would constantly comment about their move out would be "No Big Deal". Hear more audio clips below.
Despite these statements they also falsely claimed they had nowhere to go; refusing to acknowledge that they could return to their home at 49 Gardiner Lane in Howland Maine.
As a result, the Beck's served Jayson and Kerstin Corson with preliminary eviction paperwork.
We later found and presented evidence showing that Leol Corson had in fact purchased his own replacement home nearly one month before the notice to Jayson and Kerstin Corson. Leol was clearly being influenced by Jayson and Kerstin Corson, as they were the only ones in Leol's ear at the time, forfeiting the benefits and security the Living Arrangement guaranteed him.

Delivering subpeonas to the Corsons for their courtroom appearances.
In preparation for our trial, subpoenas were issued for Jayson, Kerstin, Kathleen (Katie), and John Corson.
We first served subpoena paperwork to Kerstin Corson at her place of employment (Cove's Edge in Damariscotta). Because she was in her work environment and in the presence of others, delivery was uneventful - other than a sour look from her.
Next, John Corson was served at his place of employment (the local New Harbor grocery store). After delivery, John came storming to the car and attempted to throw his subpeona back into the delivery driver's car.
An attempt to serve Jayson was made at Leol's new residence (58 Pemaquid Villas, Pemaquid). Kerstin had already returned home from work and could be heard screaming on the phone telling someone her frustrations at being served, warning them to help Jayson avoid receiving his paperwork.
After several knocks on the door Kerstin began screaming that Jayson wasn't here, cussing at us and telling us to go away.
We then made our way to Katie Corson's mobile home, expecting that Jayson probably went there to avoid being found. We were right!
In the driveway was Jayson's truck along with a very impromptu "Private Property - No Trespassing" sign that was not there previously. After knocking on the door, Katie burst out of the house stating we are to leave her property immediately as it's posted "No Trespassing". We kindly respected her wishes, and snapped this photo on our way out.

Perhaps Kerstin had this to hide
During trial, Kerstin Corson admitted to the court that they paid nothing to the Becks, despite 10 months of living in the home while they looked for employment in the Bristol area.
But more importantly, Kerstin Corson was present during the first day of trial. On day one, Leol Corson testified first answering questions then being cross examined by the defense. Kerstin sat in the pews behind Leol Corson's attorney as Leol spoke about Jill Beck's addition to and removal from his bank account. Listen to the clip below, where Leol Corson admits that Kerstin was added to his bank account - and did so without review by independent counsel by a family member who had a powerful influence over him.
Although you can not hear it through the courtroom microphones, Kerstin Corson gasped loudly during the above testimony. This startling reaction caused everyone present in the courtroom to turn and look at her. As Kerstin's jaw hung open, her face quickly went pale as she realized that she too could be accused of an Improvident Transfer for her part in accessing Leols finances.
When it was her turn to be cross-examined, even more information about her role became evident. Hear this stunning audio below.
